Need to make a Complaint?

IACP’s complaints procedures play an important role in our work to uphold professional standards in counselling and psychotherapy.

We aim to carry out careful, transparent, and fair investigations of alleged breaches of the IACP Code of Ethics and Practice . If you wish to complain about an IACP member, click Making A Complaint below.

When a complaint is upheld against an IACP member, they have an option to appeal the decision of the Complaints Committee, via our Appeals Procedure.

As part of our work to set and maintain standards in education, we also operate a Complaints Against Course Providers procedure. This is for students on our Accredited Courses to address potential breaches of IACP's course accreditation criteria.
