Presenter Bio: Dr. Eoin Galavan is the Senior Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, North Dublin Adult Mental Health Service. He is Team Leader of \"Evolve\" DBT service, North Dublin Adult Mental Health. He is Clinical Lead, Service Co-ordinator and Supervising Senior Psychologist for the North Dublin Assessment and Treatment of Suicide service. Eoin is also Supervising Clinical Psychologist, Doctoral Training Programme, Trinity College, Dublin. He is Clinical Tutor,D. Clin.Psych.,TCD since 2008. Eoin is an occasional lecturer on the D.Clin.Psych., TCD (Working with Borderline Personaliy Disorder and Assessing and Treating Suicidality). He has a Private Practice at Arduna Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre since 2008. He is licensed to research the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model in Ireland, the CAMS representative in Ireland, involved in ongoing developments pertaining to CAMS with suicide prevention lab,Catholic University America. He is currently involved in developing as a research site for an ongoing multinational study pertaining to the use of CAMS.
Outline: Overview of the Psychology of Suicidality/Suicidal Behaviour. Overview of the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model and discussion. Demonstration role play of CAMS model and discussion. Practice role play of CAMS model and discussion. Questions and answer session. Feedback . Close.
