Presenters Bio: 

Joanie Reilly B.Sc. (Counselling & Psychotherapy) is an IACP accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor who spent 5 of her 20 years of counselling working in frontline suicide intervention and self-harm. She has a private practice in Nass, Co Kildare.

Workshop Outline: 

 This practical workshop will guide participants step by step through the process of bringing a client out of a suicidal state.

Topics covered will include

>  inside the suicidal mind - the trance like state

>  levels of risk and when to call for help

>  working with the 'suicide ladder' model

>  aftermath of a suicide attempt - supporting family
