MRC - Introduction to Energy Therapy within a Counselling Setting
Presenters Bio:
Dr Karen Ward is a Psychotherapist and Supervisor (MIACP), Lecturer and Holistic Therapist. and is Based in her Dublin Clinic since 1997,
Her research at DCU encompassed a specific Energy Therapy technique based on Irish Celtic Shamanism to safely introduce non-denominational spirituality into a Counselling setting. She now leads workshops countrywide and abroad to teach this technique to fellow health practitioners.
Karen co-founded and runs the Slí an Chroí School of Irish Celtic Shamanism – holistic living in tandem with the cycles of nature - with her husband John Cantwell. She created the Moon Mná Women’s Celtic Circles offering Rites of Passage Ceremonies and online Courses worldwide. Karen is author of innovative book ‘Change a Little to Change a Lot’ and co-editor of ‘Soul Seers – an Irish Anthology of Celtic Shamanism’. She is a regular contributor to 'Naturally Good Health' magazine and RTE website's Brainstorm section.
Workshop Outline:
This 3 hour interactive Workshop online via Zoom includes Breakout Rooms for practise of each technique offered and a generous Q&A session.
The learning outcomes to be acquired as a result of attending the workshop/presentation.
*Awareness of nature-based and energetic technique effectiveness.
*Knowledge of simple and effective techniques to use with consenting clients.
*Connection with nature and holistic ways to harness within a clinical setting.
The format will be explanation, demonstration, practise, discussion.
