Presenters Bio:
Seamus Clarke received his Bachelor of Civil Law (International Degree) from University College Dublin in 1995. As part of his training for the International Degree, he attended DePaul University College of Law during the 1993-94 academic year and clerked for two Chicago law firms. He subsequently earned a Magister Juris Degree in European and Comparative Law in 1996 from the University of Oxford, where he was a Parker Scholar at Lady Margaret Hall. He also holds a Barrister-at-Law degree from The Honorable Society of King's Inns.
Seamus became a Senior Counsel in 2017 and currently is in private practice in Dublin, specializing in the areas of criminal law, judicial review/habeas corpus proceedings as well as employment law and family law. He has practised as a criminal defence barrister for 20 years. He was appointed to the panel representing the Director of Public Prosecutions in 2006.
