Presenter Bio: 
Dr Gerard MooreRPN, RGN, MSc (Psychotherapy) is the Chair of APPI Executive Committee and the Head of the School of Nursing and Human Sciences in Dublin City University (DCU). He delivers modules on the Master and Doctorate in Psychotherapy in DCU and works clinically as a psychonalytic psychotherapist. 


Workshop Outline: Object Relations places relationship at the centre of understanding what it is to be human. This one day interactive workshop will provide an introduction to Object Relations initially concentrating on underpinning theory which will include exploring some of the work of Freud, Klein, Fairbairn, Winnicott, Balint Guntrip and Bolby. Secondly, the workshop will explore the application of Object Relations Theory in Practice and enable participants to consider how this particualr theoretical perspective may contribute positively to their practice. 

Training Level: Intermediate
