Present: a Network Morning with Maria Bradfield Neuroscience in Counselling & Psychotherapy
Presenter Bio: Maria is a recently accredited therapist with the IACP. She is currently counselling in an organisation dealing with suicide intervention and self-harm and has a small private practice. Before going into the field of counselling and psychotherapy, her early career was in science and she has BSc (NUIG) and MSc (UCD) in that field. She did her core training with PCI, has qualifications in Addiction Studies (NUIM), and Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP), and is currently completing the second year of her Masters Degree in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy with IICP. The research for her masters degree looked at the views and experiences of therapists integrating neuroscience into counselling and psychotherapy.
Workshop Outline: An introduction to the theory and application of neuroscience principles into counselling and psychotherapy.
