South East Regional Committee
Present a workshop entitled:
\"Understanding Child Protection - A Panel Discussion with Q&A\'s\"
Presenters Bio: Professor Mairtin O\' Fathaigh PHD, BA., H. DIP ED, M ED, PH. D., was Professor of Adult Continuing Education in UCC and currently is an Organisational Learning & Development Consultant with a keen academic and technical knowledge of Child Protection issues.
Dr. Gerard O\' Neill, MIACP, MIAHIP Director of the HSE\'s National Counselling Service - South.
Ms. Deirdre Kenny - a representative from \'One in Four\', the organisation that IACP has contacted to assist our members regarding the reporting of abuse. We hope also to have a member of the HSE Children First Guidance Training Department attending.
Outline: Each of the presenters will give a brief presentation from their point of view on current and forthcoming legislation with Child Protection and the implications for counsellors and psychotherapists. This will be followed by a question and answer session from the audience with presenters. We would welcome questions you may have in advance of the workshop and these can be emailed to southeasternregion@iacp.ie for the presenters. This workshop will be followed by the South East Regional Members and Committee AGM.
Training Level: All Levels.
The IACP South East Regional Committe AGM will begin immediately after the conclusion of the workshop, from 1:15pm until 1:45pm.
CPD certificates will be emailed to registered participants after attendance at the Workshop/AGM.
