Presenters Bio: Marina Sweeney is an IACP accredited supervisor. She has been in practise for 28 years. Since 2000 she has been designing and facilitating Continuing Professional and Personal Development for practitioners in the helping professions. Marina's training programmes include; Training for qualified Practitioners in, (1) Solution Focused Brief Therapy (2) Eating Disorders Counselling (3) Trauma Counselling (4) Sexual Abuse Counselling (5) Solution Focused Therapy in Addictions Counselling (6) Mind Body and Spirit Healing for Helpers (7) Supervision as a Reflective Activity.

Marina is a past recipient of IACP's Carl Berkley Memorial Award and has served as an IACP volunteer for the past 14 years.

 

Workshop Outline: A Supervision workshop for Supervisors and Supervisees. The aim of the workshop is to introduce participants to the concept of co-creating the "supervision alliance" through the use of "Solution Orientated" thinking. 

Outline: (1) Introduction to the theme (2) Assumptions about supervision (3) Useful language in the making of meaning (4) Hierarchy and becoming Co - Learners (5) Creating a healing space.

Training Level: All Levels. (AGM to follow - New members welcome).
