Psychosexual Therapy

Presenter: Josephine O’ Halloran(MIACP, MIAHIP, and MCOSRT) is a counselor, psychotherapist, psychosexual therapist, relationship counselor and accredited supervisor. Josephine trained as a psychosexual therapist with RELATE, the leading family and relationship therapy organization in the U.K. Josephine has a private practice in Galway city for over 10 years.

Outline

This one day workshop will provide:

  • Awareness about the prevalence of sexual difficulties among clients.
  • Exploring our own personal attitudes around our sexuality
  • Information on sexual dysfunctions & on strategies used.
  • Help in identifying the sexual dysfunctions that clients present with
  • How to make appropriate referrals & how to get specialist help.
  • Discussion of Attachment Theory & how child abuse, neglect & stress change the structure of the brain & the functioning of the immune system.
  • The Paraphilias
  • How this can impact on sexual behavior.
  • The Treatment Programme.

 CPD certificates will be emailed to participants after attendance at the Workshop.
