Psychosexual Therapy
Presenter: Josephine O’ Halloran(MIACP, MIAHIP, and MCOSRT) is a counselor, psychotherapist, psychosexual therapist, relationship counselor and accredited supervisor. Josephine trained as a psychosexual therapist with RELATE, the leading family and relationship therapy organization in the U.K. Josephine has a private practice in Galway city for over 10 years.
Outline:
This one day workshop will provide:
- Awareness about the prevalence of sexual difficulties among clients.
- Exploring our own personal attitudes around our sexuality
- Information on sexual dysfunctions & on strategies used.
- Help in identifying the sexual dysfunctions that clients present with
- How to make appropriate referrals & how to get specialist help.
- Discussion of Attachment Theory & how child abuse, neglect & stress change the structure of the brain & the functioning of the immune system.
- The Paraphilias
- How this can impact on sexual behavior.
- The Treatment Programme.
