Presenter's Bio:

Gina is an Adolescent and Family Therapist & Clinical Supervisor based in Tuam Co Galway. She runs the Adolescent and Beyond Psychotherapy clinic which offers support to Adolescent, Parents and young Adults.

This clinic offers both in person and online therapy and is staffed by three other therapists, each with their own specialism in Adolescent, Adult and Couples therapy. Gina is also the founder of the Adolescent and Beyond Conference. She has worked in the field of psychotherapy since 2011, and her prior experience includes working as a Team leader in Social Work and as a Bereavement coordinator. started her career in 1998. She has worked in the NHS in London and in the HSE in Dublin and Galway. She also trained as a yoga teacher with adults, children and pregnancy. She has further training in family therapy, child and adult bereavement, EMDR advanced Child and Adolescent supervision. 


Event Outline:

This Event will explore the role of supervising adolescent therapists throughout their learning journey and completion of training. By examining the training and placement process, supervisors will gain insight into the diverse needs of student therapists and the various ways they can be supported and guided in their work with clients during placement.

Time management of report writing and student appraisal will be explored in terms of ethical feedback, supervisory contract and awareness of dilemmas throughout supervision.
