The research paper under discussion for our seventh Research Journal Club is “It’s about What You’ve Assigned to the Salad”: Focus Group Discussions on the Relationship between Food and Mood by Megan F. Lee, Joanne F. Bradbury, Jacqui Yoxall and Sally Sargean from the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health 2023, 20, 1476. This qualitative focus group research explores the links between food and mood directly with members of the public. Please find the paper here for reading before the event:

Joining Research Committee facilitators - Chair Aisling O’Connor and Vice Chair Dr Caitriona Kinsella – will be IACP member Jayne Leonard who will share insights from her qualitative research with professionals in this area, exploring counsellors' and psychotherapists' understanding and use of nutrition in the therapy room. Jayne is the IACP Research Excellence Award winner of 2024 and her paper was published in Counselling Psychotherapy Research,  August 2023, 1–13.
