Presenters Bio's: Eileen Murphy, Chief Executive of Women’s Aid Armaghdown, is at the forefront of the Women’s Aid support services to women, children and young people experiencing domestic / sexual violence and abuse. Eileen spent the past thirteen years developing the growth and extension of Women’s Aid support services throughout the Southern & South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust areas.
Eileen has, in her thirteen years of service developed business strategies, incubated new service programmes and service delivery. She has, through her efforts, increased the size and scope of Women’s Aid Armaghdown and the geographical area of service delivery for the organisation. A strategic leader with intricate knowledge of the impact of and trauma within, a victim’s experience of domestic / sexual violence perpetrated on women, children and young people.
Eileen has championed the UN Declaration of the Elimination of Violence Against Women and is recognised for embracing the core values of integrity, innovation, and growth. Eileen demonstrates clear and significant leadership in the arena of domestic/sexual violence and abuse.
Eileen holds an Honour’s degree in Psychology plus a range of post graduate qualifications in psychotherapy, trauma, bereavement, counselling, Leadership and management.
