Presenter's Bio:

Eoin  is a counsellor, supervisor & trainer who has worked in the area of counselling/psychotherapy and mental health for over 30 years, particularly focusing on issues such as social anxiety & behavioural addictions, using approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, & Compassion-Focused Therapy. He has also worked at a senior level in counselling/psychotherapy education and served on several IACP committees. He was awarded
the IACP Carl Berkeley Award in 2010. These days, his primary focus is on working with autistic adults, and
on understanding the problems they face & their specific therapeutic needs. He is himself autistic, having made the discovery in 2012.


Event Outline: 

This workshop will look at CFT Basic Philosophy, The Nature of Compassion, Helpful Interventions, and Further Resources. Attendees will Gain a beginning familiarity with the spirit of CFT, and the ability to convey this to a client. Gain confidence in using & teaching techniques such as: Meditations (led/practised); Compassionate Self-Talk/Balanced Thinking;Compassionate Image (idealised).
